Token Not Tradable
Your Solana token exists but cannot be bought or sold? You need a liquidity pool. Learn how to make your token tradable.
Problem
Your token exists but cannot be bought or sold on any DEX.
Quick Solution
A token without a liquidity pool cannot be traded. Create a liquidity pool on Raydium, Meteora, or Orca to enable trading. Jupiter will automatically route trades to it.
Why Your Token Cannot Be Traded
Creating a token does NOT automatically make it tradable. A token is just a digital asset — to trade it, you need a liquidity pool where buyers and sellers can exchange tokens.
How to Make Your Token Tradable
Step 1: Create a Liquidity Pool
1. Go to SolTokenCreator.io liquidity pool creator
2. Select your token and pair it with SOL
3. Deposit your tokens + SOL into the pool
4. The pool is live — trading begins immediately
Step 2: Choose Pool Type
- **CPMM** — Simpler, cheaper, supports Token-2022
- **AMM V4** — Established, requires OpenBook market ID
Step 3: Set Initial Price
Your initial price is determined by the ratio of tokens to SOL you deposit:
- Deposit 1,000,000 tokens + 1 SOL = each token is worth 0.000001 SOL
- Deposit 1,000,000 tokens + 10 SOL = each token is worth 0.00001 SOL
Step 4: Verify on Jupiter
After pool creation, your token becomes tradable on Jupiter within minutes. Jupiter automatically aggregates all Raydium pools.
How Much Liquidity to Add
More liquidity = lower slippage = better trading experience:
- Minimum viable: 1-2 SOL (for testing)
- Small launch: 5-10 SOL
- Medium launch: 20-50 SOL
- Large launch: 100+ SOL
