Help & Troubleshooting
Bots Sniped My Token Launch
Sniper bots bought your token before real users could. Learn how to prevent bot sniping on future Solana token launches.
Problem
Sniper bots bought your token in the same block as pool creation, front-running regular buyers.
Quick Solution
For future launches, use Jito bundles, set higher initial prices, launch during off-peak hours, or use anti-sniper features. Already-sniped tokens cannot undo bot purchases.
How Bot Sniping Works
Sniper bots monitor the Solana mempool for new liquidity pool creation transactions. When they detect a new pool, they submit buy transactions in the same block or the next block, purchasing tokens before regular users can react.
Why Bots Snipe
Bots aim to buy at the lowest possible price and sell to later buyers at a higher price. They profit from being first.
Prevention Strategies
Use Jito Bundles
Bundle your pool creation and your own initial buy into a single atomic transaction using Jito. This ensures you buy before anyone else.
Set Higher Initial Price
A higher initial token price reduces the profit margin for snipers, making your token less attractive to bots.
Launch During Off-Peak Hours
Fewer bots are active during low-traffic periods (early morning UTC). This reduces but does not eliminate sniping risk.
Stealth Launch
Do not announce the exact launch time. Create the pool without prior announcement, then share the token address with your community.
Gradual Liquidity Addition
Start with minimal liquidity and add more over time. Bots are less interested in low-liquidity pools.
What You Cannot Do
Unfortunately, if bots already sniped your token: - You cannot reverse their purchases - You cannot freeze their accounts (if freeze authority is revoked) - You cannot selectively undo transactions
For Your Next Launch
Plan ahead with anti-sniper strategies. The most effective approach is using Jito bundles to ensure your own buy executes in the same transaction as pool creation.
